In Costa Rica, there was a big house,built from shipping containers 8. This architectural solution significantly reduced the cost of materials and to carry out construction in a short time.

Customer (known photographer) wanted to getuniversal space in which it would be possible to live, relax and work. Architect Jose Maria Trejos (Maria José Trejos) took into account his wishes and implemented «Casa Incubo» project, which is a housing, constructed from 8 shipping containers.

On the ground floor there is a living room, kitchen withdining room and a gallery with the works of the master. The central space of 95 square meters can periodically serves as a recreation room or a studio.

On the second floor are equipped with a bedroom and a studio.
At the top terrace with green artificial turf. From there you can admire the surroundings, to hold a session of yoga or simply relax in silence.

The special arrangement of the containers formingthe perimeter of the house, allows for cross ventilation, cooling room in the hottest days. On the garden side, the windows are installed bamboo panels that protect the north-western part of the house from the scorching sun.

To reduce the negative impact on theWednesday in the house uses a system of rainwater harvesting, solar panels installed. To illuminate the premises used by the LEDs, which can significantly reduce the amount of electricity consumption.
Another great example of a house from the containers with energy-saving technology was built by the architects of the Danish Arcgency Bureau.
